The scientific description and the philosophical explanation should not be collapsed into one another. Measurements and models constrain the discussion, but they do not decide what counts as an ultimate explanation.
Intelligent-design advocates may regard this feature as more expected on theism than on an unguided ultimate reality. That is an abductive philosophical proposal, not a result directly read from an instrument. Competing naturalistic and theistic explanations should be represented fairly.
For an Orthodox Christian, creation’s intelligibility can be received within faith in the divine Logos while nature is studied on its own terms. God is not invoked to fill a temporary gap in knowledge; created causes and lawful processes remain worthy of careful investigation. Psalm 19:1 invites wonder without replacing research.
