““Now you are releasing your servant, Master, according to your word, in peace; for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared before the face of all peoples; a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of your people Israel.””Luke 2:29-32
Reflection
Now, Lord, You let Your servant lie down in peace, for my eyes have seen enough of Your faithfulness today to trust You with tomorrow. The lamps are low; the house is quiet; the work will keep. Whatever I leave unfinished, You do not.
A prayer
Into Your hands, O Lord, I commend my body and my soul, my loved ones and my fears. Guard this house and all who rest in it, and wake me to Your mercies in the morning. Amen.
