Reflection
The day is finished, and it was never yours to hold up. Night prayer is the practice of letting go — handing the unfinished, the unresolved, and the unworthy back to the God who keeps watch while you rest.
A prayer
Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work or watch or weep this night, and give Your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, refresh the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, and all for Your love's sake. Into Your hands I commend my spirit. Amen.
