Scripture for Rest

Come to Me and Rest

““Come to me, all you who labour and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.””Matthew 11:28-30

Reflection

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Notice that the rest He offers is for the soul, not only the body. You can lie down tonight already carrying less.

A prayer

Gentle Savior, I am weary, and You are kind. I come to You as I am. Take what is too heavy for me, and give my soul the rest You promised. Amen.
