Trusting God at Night

“Let not thy foot be moved; and let not thy keeper slumber. Behold, he that keeps Israel shall not slumber nor sleep.”Psalm 120:3-4 (121:3-4)

Reflection

He will not let your foot slip — He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Someone is awake tonight so that you don't have to be. The keeping of your life is not on your shoulders. Let that truth lower them.

A prayer

Keeper of my life, You are awake. I do not have to stand guard over my own soul tonight. I trust myself to Your unsleeping care. Amen.
