Cast It On Him
“Humble yourselves under God's mighty hand... casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.”1 Peter 5:6-7
Reflection
To 'cast' is to throw something off yourself and onto another. Peter ties it to humility: anxiety often hides a quiet pride that says the outcome depends on me. Casting your care on God is an act of trust that He is both able and willing to carry it.
A prayer
Father, I have been holding what You offered to carry. I let it go onto Your strong hands. Forgive the pride that thinks it all depends on me. I trust that You care for me, down to the detail. Amen.
