Day 4 · Anxiety & Peace
The Peace That Guards
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:6-7
Reflection
Notice the exchange: requests go up, peace comes down. The peace is not a feeling you generate but a gift that guards — like a garrison around the heart. Thanksgiving is the hinge; it reminds anxiety that God has been faithful before.
A prayer
Lord, I bring my requests with thanksgiving for all You have already done. I cannot manufacture peace, so I receive Yours. Station Your peace like a guard around my heart and mind today. Amen.
Carry this with you
Turn one worry into a request, and add one thanksgiving alongside it.
