Day 5 · Strength for Caregivers
Entrusting Them, and Yourself
“casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”1 Peter 5:7
Reflection
Caregivers carry not only tasks but worries — about the future, about decisions, about the one they love. Peter's invitation is simple and freeing: cast all of it on God, because He cares for you. Notice the 'you.' In caring for another, your own heart is seen and loved by God. You can entrust both your loved one and yourself into His faithful hands.
A prayer
Father, I carry so many worries — for the one I love, and quietly, for myself. Today I cast them all on You, because You care for me. I entrust this dear person into Your hands, where they are safer than in mine. And I entrust myself to You too — my tiredness, my fears, my future. Hold us both, and let me rest in Your care. Amen.
Carry this with you
Can you entrust both the person you care for and your own weary self into God's hands today?
