Seek First His Kingdom
“But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.”Matthew 6:33-34
Reflection
Jesus reorders our priorities not to add pressure but to bring relief; when God's kingdom comes first, everything else can find its right and smaller place. He gives us permission to live one day at a time and to let tomorrow keep its own concerns. This is the gentle rhythm of trust: today's grace for today's needs.
A prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to seek Your kingdom first and to trust You to tend to all the rest. Free me from the weight of tomorrow so that I can live faithfully in the day You have actually given me. Where I have made money or security my first pursuit, gently turn my heart back toward You. Thank You for being a Father I can trust with both today and all my tomorrows. Amen.
