Be Strong and Courageous
“Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”Joshua 1:9
Reflection
As Joshua faced a future he could not yet see, God anchored his courage to a single, unshakable promise: "your God is with you wherever you go." Courage of this kind is less about feeling fearless and more about moving forward while trusting the One who walks alongside us. Wherever the coming days lead you, you do not travel there on your own.
A prayer
Faithful God, as I finish these days of prayer, write Your promise deep in my heart: You are with me wherever I go. Make me strong and courageous, not in myself, but in Your unfailing presence. When new fears arise, draw me back to trust in You and to take the next step in faith. Thank You for going before me and walking beside me. Amen.
