Day 5 · First Steps with Jesus
Walking with Others
“Let's consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another...”Hebrews 10:24-25
Reflection
The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. We grow best alongside others — encouraged, challenged, and carried by fellow believers. Scripture urges us not to neglect gathering together. The Church, however imperfect its people, is God's gift: the family and Body of Christ to belong to, learn with, and lean on, in worship and in the sacraments. Take the step of finding a parish and others to walk with; you were made for this together. If you have not yet been baptized, speak with a priest about baptism and about joining the life of the Church.
A prayer
Father, thank You that I am not meant to follow You alone. Lead me to others who love You — a church, a friend, a community where I can belong, grow, and be carried when I am weak. Give me courage to take that step, and grace to offer the same encouragement to others. Knit me into Your family, and let us walk with You together. Amen.
Carry this with you
What is one step you could take this week toward walking with other believers?
