Day 1 · A Grateful Heart
Thanksgiving Begins Small
“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.”1 Thessalonians 5:18
Reflection
Gratitude rarely arrives in one grand moment; it grows quietly, the way light spreads across a morning sky. We are not asked to feel thankful for everything, but to give thanks in everything, naming the small mercies we so easily overlook. This week we will practice noticing the gifts already in our hands.
A prayer
Father, thank You for this new day and for the breath that fills me even now. Open my eyes to the small kindnesses I usually rush past, and teach me to notice Your goodness woven through ordinary hours. Where my heart has grown forgetful or weary, gently turn it back toward gratitude. I ask this trusting in Your steady, patient love, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Carry this with you
What is one small, easily overlooked gift you can thank God for right now?
