A Grateful Heart

Day 4 · A Grateful Heart

Thanks That Overflows to Others

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.”Colossians 3:15

Reflection

Gratitude was never meant to stay private; it naturally spills outward into how we treat the people around us. A thankful heart becomes a peaceable, generous heart, quicker to encourage and slower to complain. Today we let our thanks reach beyond ourselves.

A prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life, even the ones who challenge me. Let the peace of Christ settle my heart so that gratitude shapes my words and softens my reactions. Show me one person I can encourage or thank today, and help me to do it freely. May my thankfulness become a small gift of grace to someone else. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Carry this with you

Who is one person you could thank or encourage today, and how?
