Held by Steadfast Love
“For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God's love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Romans 8:38-39
Reflection
Loneliness whispers that we are cut off, but the gospel announces that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ. Circumstances may shift and people may come and go, yet this love does not loosen its hold. You are joined to God by a love stronger than anything you are facing.
A prayer
Father, thank you that nothing in all creation can separate me from your love in Christ Jesus. When loneliness tries to convince me that I am cut off and alone, let this truth steady me. Help me to walk forward in the quiet confidence that I am securely and forever held by you. May your love be the companionship I rest in, day by day. Amen.
