Day 5 · Praying for Your Children
Releasing Them in Hope
“But Yahweh's loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him, his righteousness to children's children.”Psalm 103:17
Reflection
We are given our children for a season, and much of their story we will not control or even see. God's faithfulness, though, reaches further than ours — from everlasting to everlasting, down even to our children's children. We can release them into a future we cannot see, because we know the One who already stands in it, loving them with a love that never ends.
A prayer
Everlasting God, my love for my children has limits; Yours has none. I cannot see their future, but You are already there, faithful and good. I release them into Your unending love — their choices, their wandering, their growing up and growing away. Keep working in their lives long after my prayers, and let Your loving kindness follow them all their days. Amen.
