A Clean Heart, A New Start
“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.”Psalm 51:10
Reflection
Confession does not end in regret; it opens into renewal. We cannot manufacture a clean heart by trying harder, so we ask God to create what only he can give. As you prepare to confess, look ahead with hope, for the same God who forgives also makes us new and steadies us to keep walking.
A prayer
Creator God, do in me what I cannot do for myself: make my heart clean and steady my spirit. Let my confession be a doorway, not into lingering shame, but into a fresh beginning in your grace. Strengthen me to walk forward gently and faithfully, leaning on you each day. Thank you for the new start you so freely give. Amen.
