Day 6 · Praying the Lord's Prayer
Deliver Us From Evil
“Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.”Matthew 6:13
Reflection
We end where we are weakest, asking for protection. We do not pray as people strong enough to face every trial alone, but as those who know we need rescue. And we close as we began — lifting our eyes to God, whose is the kingdom and the power and the glory. The prayer ends not in fear, but in praise.
A prayer
Father, You know the places where I am most easily pulled away from You. Guard me there. Keep me from the traps I walk into, and rescue me from the evil that seeks to harm me. I am not strong enough on my own, but You are faithful. Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. I trust myself to You. Amen.
Carry this with you
Where do you most need God's protection right now — and will you ask Him for it plainly?
