Trusting God

Day 5 · Trusting God

He Works for Good

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him... He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all — how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?”Romans 8:28,32

Reflection

The deepest ground of trust is the cross. If God did not withhold His own Son, the hardest evidence of His love is already settled. Whatever we cannot understand about today is held inside a love that has already proven itself completely.

A prayer

Lord, when I doubt Your goodness, return me to the cross, where my doubts run out of room. You have already given the costliest gift; I will trust You with the rest. Work all of this for good, in Your time and Your way. Amen.

Carry this with you

How does the certainty of God's love at the cross reshape the thing you're afraid to trust Him with?
