Day 5 · When God Feels Far Away
Joy Comes in the Morning
“...Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.”Psalm 30:5
Reflection
Dry seasons do not last forever. Scripture is honest that weeping may stay for a night — sometimes a long night — but it promises that joy comes in the morning. God is at work even in the silence, often most deeply when we cannot trace it. Hold on. The God who feels far now is the same God who will, in His time, make His nearness known again.
A prayer
Lord, this season has felt like a long night. Thank You for the promise that weeping does not have the final word — that joy comes in the morning. Help me to hold on, trusting that You are at work even in the silence. Carry me through the night, and in Your time, let me know again the joy of Your nearness. Until then, I will wait for You. Amen.

What helps you hold on to hope that God's nearness and joy will return?
