Anxiety & Peace
Day 6 · Anxiety & Peace
Be Still
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble... 'Be still, and know that I am God.'”Psalm 46:1-2,10
Reflection
Stillness is not emptiness; it is attention. To 'be still and know' is to stop our frantic activity long enough to remember who God is. The verse comes not from a calm life but from one shaken by mountains falling into the sea. Peace is possible in the trembling.
A prayer
God my refuge, I quiet myself before You. I stop explaining, fixing, and bracing. I remember that You are God and I am not, and that this is good news. Be my strength in the trembling. Amen.
Carry this with you
Sit in silence for two minutes, repeating slowly: 'Be still, and know that You are God.'
