Day 1 · Contentment & Provision
The Lord Is My Shepherd
“Yahweh is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.”Psalm 23:1-2
Reflection
Before we say a single word about money, Scripture invites us to remember who is caring for us. A shepherd does not leave the flock to fend for itself; he leads, feeds, and keeps watch over each one. To begin with God as our Shepherd is to begin from a place of being held rather than a place of striving.
A prayer
Gracious God, my Shepherd, thank You that I am not left to provide for myself out of fear. Quiet my anxious thoughts today and lead me beside still waters. Teach me to trust that I am known and cared for by You. Help me to rest in Your goodness even before I can see how the days ahead will unfold. Amen.
Carry this with you
Where in my life right now do I most need to remember that God is leading me, not leaving me?
