Day 2 · Contentment & Provision

Do Not Be Anxious

“Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”Matthew 6:31-32

Reflection

Jesus does not scold us for having needs; He gently names the very questions that keep us awake at night. His answer is not a strategy but a Person: your heavenly Father already knows what you need. Worry can shrink our world down to the size of our fears, while Christ widens it again to the size of the Father's care.

A prayer

Father, You know my needs before I even speak them, and that is a comfort I too easily forget. Forgive me for the nights I have carried worry that was never mine to carry alone. Teach me to bring my real concerns to You instead of rehearsing them by myself. Loosen the grip of anxiety on my heart and make room there for quiet trust. Amen.

Carry this with you

What worry have I been carrying alone that I could simply name to my Father today?
