Asking for Wisdom
“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”James 1:5
Reflection
God is not reluctant to share His wisdom, and He does not scold us for needing it. We are invited simply to ask, trusting that the One who sees every outcome gives generously to those who come to Him. You do not have to earn an answer; you only have to ask honestly.
A prayer
Lord, I admit that I lack the wisdom I need for this choice. So I ask you, plainly and trustingly, for clarity and understanding. Thank you that you give freely and never hold my questions against me. Fill the empty places in my thinking with your good and gentle wisdom. Amen.
