Day 1 · Doubt & Faith
It's Okay to Ask
“Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, "I believe. Help my unbelief!"”Mark 9:24
Reflection
This father does not tidy up his heart before he speaks; he names belief and unbelief in the very same breath, and Jesus does not scold him or turn him away. If your trust feels mixed with questions today, you are in honest company. You are still welcome to draw near just as you are.
A prayer
Lord Jesus, I come to You exactly as I am, with faith and doubt tangled together in my heart. Thank You that You received the honest cry of a struggling father, and that You receive mine too. I believe; please help my unbelief. Meet me gently in the questions I am afraid to say out loud. Amen.
Carry this with you
What is one honest question or doubt you have been afraid to bring to God?
