Faith Tested, Faith Strengthened
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.”James 1:2-3
Reflection
Scripture does not promise a faith that never wavers, but a faith that can be tested and still endure. Hard seasons, painful as they are, can become ground where patient trust slowly takes root. A faith that is being stretched is not necessarily a faith that is failing.
A prayer
Lord, it is hard to imagine how this struggle could lead anywhere good. Yet I trust that You are able to meet me here and to deepen my roots in You. Give me patience with the slow work You are doing, and the endurance to keep walking when the way is unclear. Thank You that You are with me in the testing, not waiting somewhere beyond it. Amen.
