Day 5 · The Fruit of the Spirit
Kindness
“And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.”Ephesians 4:32
Reflection
Kindness is love made practical and tender — the small, warm acts that make others feel seen and safe. Paul roots it in the kindness God has shown us in Christ. Having received such mercy, we are freed to be gentle with one another. Kindness costs little but means much; it is often how others first glimpse the heart of God.
A prayer
Father, You have been so kind to me — patient, tender, forgiving in Christ. Let that kindness overflow from me to others. Make me tender hearted where I have grown hard, quick to a gentle word, ready to forgive as I have been forgiven. Show me one person today who needs a small kindness, and grow this fruit in me by Your Spirit. Amen.
