Faithfulness
“It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.”Lamentations 3:22-23
Reflection
Before faithfulness is a fruit in us, it is the character of God. He is steadfast, reliable, new every morning. The Spirit grows that same steadiness in us — making us people who keep our word, stay the course, and remain trustworthy in small things. Faithfulness is unspectacular and rare; it is simply showing up, again and again, in love.
A prayer
Faithful God, Your mercies are new every morning, and Your faithfulness never fails. Thank You for being utterly reliable when I am not. Grow this fruit in me: make me steady, trustworthy, and constant — faithful in small things and over long stretches. When I am tempted to give up or cut corners, remind me of Your unwavering faithfulness to me. Amen.
