Jesus Wept
“When Jesus saw her weeping... He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. 'Where have you laid him?' He asked... Jesus wept.”John 11:33-35
Reflection
At the tomb of a friend He was about to raise, Jesus still wept. Your tears are not a lack of faith. The God you grieve before is not distant from sorrow; He entered it. You are allowed to weep, and you do not weep alone.
A prayer
Lord Jesus, You wept at a grave. Sit with me in mine. I will not pretend to be further along than I am. Be near to me, broken-hearted, and let me feel that You are near. Amen.
