Handing Over Our Worry
“casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”1 Peter 5:7
Reflection
Sickness carries a heavy load of worry about treatments, outcomes, finances, and the people who depend on us. We were never meant to bear that weight alone, and God invites us to hand it to Him, piece by piece. The reason we can do this is simple and tender: He genuinely cares for you.
A prayer
Lord, I am carrying worries that are too heavy for me, and today I choose to set them down before You. I name them honestly and place each one into Your hands, trusting that You care for me more than I can grasp. When the anxiety creeps back, help me to bring it to You again without shame. Thank You that I do not have to be the one holding everything together. Amen.
