Whoever gets the first word of your day tends to get the day. Before the phone, before the news, before the to-do list — one verse and one sentence to God. The discipline is not length; it is order. God first.
A prayer
Lord, before anything else, You. I give You the first word of this day and ask You to set its course. I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly for Your goodness. Amen.
