Morning Discipline

Day 2 · Morning Discipline

A Rule You Can Keep

“Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.”Daniel 6:10

Reflection

Daniel's prayer life had a shape — a 'rule,' a habit so settled that pressure could not dislodge it. You don't need an hour. You need a rhythm you will actually keep: a verse, a thanksgiving, a request, a handing-over. Repeated daily, it becomes a trellis the soul grows on.

A prayer

Father, make me faithful in small things. Give me a simple rhythm I can keep on good days and hard ones. Let prayer become as natural to me as breathing. Amen.

Carry this with you

Draft a 5-minute morning 'rule': one verse, one thanks, one request. Where and when will you do it?
