Peace with Your Past

Day 4 · Peace with Your Past

Restoring the Years

“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten...”Joel 2:25

Reflection

Some regrets are not only about what we did, but about what was lost — wasted years, broken seasons, time that feels gone for good. To a people who had lost much, God made a startling promise: He restores. Our God is a redeemer, able to bring good even out of the years that felt eaten away. The past does not have the final word; His redemption does.

A prayer

Redeeming God, I grieve the things that feel lost — wasted time, broken seasons, years I cannot get back. Thank You that You are a God who restores, who brings good even from what felt eaten away. I cannot undo my past, but You can redeem it. Do what only You can: weave even my regrets into something good, and give me hope for what is still ahead. Amen.

Carry this with you

What loss from your past could you ask your redeeming God to restore or bring good from?
