Bringing Them by Name
“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”Philippians 4:6
Reflection
When someone we love feels far from God, our hearts can fill with a worry that never quite settles. Today we begin simply, by naming that person before the Lord, the way you might mention a dear friend to someone who already loves them. You do not need the right words or a finished plan; you only need to come, carrying their name and your hope into God's presence.
A prayer
Father, I bring before You the one I love, and I speak their name in Your presence with all the tenderness of my heart. You know them far more deeply than I ever could, and You have loved them since before they drew their first breath. Quiet the anxiety within me, and help me exchange my worry for trust in Your goodness. Thank You that I am free to lay this person down at Your feet today. Amen.
