Praying the Psalms
Day 3 · Praying the Psalms
A Psalm of Trust
“The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear?... I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart.”Psalm 27:1,13-14
Reflection
Trust in the Psalms is not naive; it stares down real enemies and still says 'whom shall I fear?' It ends with an instruction we give ourselves: wait, be strong, take heart. Trust is often simply waiting well.
A prayer
Lord, You are my light and my salvation. I will not let fear have the final word. I am confident I will see Your goodness. Make me strong as I wait for You. Amen.
Carry this with you
What are you waiting on God for? How can you 'wait well' this week?
