Day 1 · Repentance
The Way Home Is Open
“He arose and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran, fell on his neck, and kissed him.”Luke 15:20
Reflection
Repentance begins not with our perfection but with a single turn toward home. In Jesus' story, the father does not wait at the gate with crossed arms; he runs to meet his child while that child is still a long way off. Whatever distance you feel today, God is already moving toward you with compassion.
A prayer
Loving Father, I have wandered, and yet I believe You are watching the road for me. Thank You that You move toward the returning heart rather than away from it. Today I take one step home, trusting that You will meet me on the way. Receive me, not because I have earned it, but because You are merciful. Amen.
Carry this with you
What is one small step toward God you could take today, trusting He is already coming to meet you?
