Repentance

Day 3 · Repentance

Grace Greater Than Guilt

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”1 John 1:9

Reflection

When we confess, forgiveness is not a reluctant favor God grudgingly grants; it is His faithful character at work. The same grace that first called you does not run thin when you stumble. Repentance can be hopeful precisely because mercy is not in short supply.

A prayer

Faithful God, thank You that forgiveness flows from who You are and not from how well I perform. I lay down the weight of guilt I was never meant to carry alone. Cleanse me fully, and let Your grace speak louder in me than my regret. Teach my heart to trust that You are faithful to forgive. Amen.

Carry this with you

What would change in your day if you truly believed that God is faithful to forgive the sins you confess to Him?
