Day 3 · When God Feels Far Away
Faith Beyond Feeling
“for we walk by faith, not by sight.”2 Corinthians 5:7
Reflection
We walk by faith, not by sight — and not by feeling either. Dry seasons are often where faith grows deepest, because we keep walking with God without the encouragement of strong emotion. This is not lesser faith; it may be the truest kind. To pray, obey, and trust when you feel nothing is to love God for Himself, not merely for the warmth He gives.
A prayer
Lord, teach me to walk by faith and not by sight or feeling. When I sense nothing, help me to keep coming to You — to keep praying, trusting, and obeying, simply because You are worthy. Let this dry season deepen rather than shrink my faith. I choose to follow You not for the feelings, but for who You are. Sustain me as I walk. Amen.
Carry this with you
What would it look like to keep walking faithfully with God even without strong feelings?
