Day 4 · Work & Vocation
Faithful in Small Things
“He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.”Luke 16:10
Reflection
We often imagine that our real calling lies somewhere ahead of us, in bigger responsibilities or a more impressive role. But Jesus teaches that faithfulness is formed in the smallest things, in the unglamorous duties we are tempted to rush through. The way you handle the little tasks today is quietly shaping the kind of person you are becoming.
A prayer
Lord, forgive me when I overlook the small and ordinary parts of my work while waiting for something greater. Teach me that faithfulness in little things is precious in Your sight. Help me to bring care, honesty, and love to the tasks right in front of me today. Shape my character through the quiet, hidden moments others may never see. Amen.
Carry this with you
Which small or overlooked task in my work is God inviting me to do with greater care and integrity?
