1 Cuando la muralla estuvo terminada y le colocamos las puertas y designamos a los porteros, cantores y levitas,
1 Y LUEGO que el muro fué edificado, y asenté las puertas, y fueron señalados porteros y cantores y Levitas,
1 Now when the wall was built and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2 ordené asumir el gobierno de Jerusalén a mi hermano Jananí y a Jananías, el comandante de la fortaleza, hombre muy fiel que temía a Dios, más que cualquier otro en el pueblo.
2 Mandé á mi hermano Hanani, y á Hananías, príncipe del palacio de Jerusalem, (porque era éste, como varón de verdad y temeroso de Dios, sobre muchos;)
2 I put my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the governor of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem; for he was a faithful man and feared God above many.
3 Les di órdenes de no abrir las puertas de Jerusalén hasta mucho después de la salida del sol, y de cerrarlas y asegurarlas mientras los guardias estuvieran aún en sus puestos. Además, a los guardias residentes en Jerusalén les ordené permanecer en sus puestos en horarios regulares, y a cada persona que tenía casa junto a la muralla le impuse el deber de proteger la sección que estaba frente a su casa.
3 Y díjeles: No se abran las puertas de Jerusalem hasta que caliente el sol: y aun ellos presentes, cierren las puertas, y atrancad. Y señalé guardas de los moradores de Jerusalem, cada cual en su guardia, y cada uno delante de su casa.
3 I said to them, “Don’t let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they stand guard, let them shut the doors, and you bar them; and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, with everyone near his house.”
4 Porque la ciudad era grande, pero la población era pequeña, y había sólo unas pocas viviendas esparcidas a través de la ciudad, pues aún no se habían reconstruido todas las casas.
4 Y la ciudad era espaciosa y grande, pero poco pueblo dentro de ella, y no había casas reedificadas.
4 Now the city was wide and large; but the people were few therein, and the houses were not built.
5 Entonces mi Dios puso en mí el sentir de convocar a los jefes de la ciudad, juntamente con los del común del pueblo para censarlos. Yo había encontrado los registros genealógicos de los que habían regresado a Judá antes, y esto es lo que estaba escrito en ellos:
5 Y puso Dios en mi corazón que juntase los principales, y los magistrados, y el pueblo, para que fuesen empadronados por el orden de sus linajes: y hallé el libro de la genealogía de los que habían subido antes, y encontré en él escrito:
5 My God put into my heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be listed by genealogy. I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found this written in it:
6 La siguiente es una lista de los nombres de los judíos que regresaron a Jerusalén y a las demás ciudades de Judá después de haber sido exiliados por el rey Nabucodonosor de Babilonia.
6 Estos son los hijos de la provincia que subieron de la cautividad, de la transmigración que hizo pasar Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y que volvieron á Jerusalem y á Judá cada uno á su ciudad;
6 These are the children of the province who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, everyone to his city,
7 Sus jefes eran: Zorobabel, Jesúa, Nehemías, Azarías, Raamías, Najamani, Mardoqueo, Bilsán, Mispéret, Bigvay, Nehúm y Baná. Los demás que regresaron en este tiempo fueron:
7 Los cuales vinieron con Zorobabel, Jesuá, Nehemías, Azarías, Raamías, Nahamani, Mardochêo, Bilsán, Misperet, Bigvai, Nehum, Baana. La cuenta de los varones del pueblo de Israel:

61 These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer; but they could not show their fathers’ houses, nor their offspring, whether they were of Israel:
62 Estos eran descendientes de Delaías, Tobías y Necoda, un total de 642.
62 Los hijos de Delaía, los hijos de Tobías, los hijos de Necoda, seiscientos cuarenta y dos.
62 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda: six hundred forty-two.
63 También hubo varios clanes de sacerdotes

70 Some from among the heads of fathers’ households gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred thirty priests’ garments.
71 Los otros dirigentes dieron un total de veinte mil monedas de oro y mil trescientos veinte kilos de plata.
71 Y de los príncipes de las familias dieron para el tesoro de la obra, veinte mil dracmas de oro, y dos mil y doscientas libras de plata.
71 Some of the heads of fathers’ households gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand two hundred minas of silver.
72 El resto del pueblo dio veinte mil monedas de oro, mil doscientos kilos de plata y sesenta y siete túnicas sacerdotales.
72 Y lo que dió el resto del pueblo fué veinte mil dracmas de oro, y dos mil libras de plata, y sesenta y siete vestiduras sacerdotales.
72 That which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, plus two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven priests’ garments.
73 Los sacerdotes, los levitas, los porteros, los miembros del coro, los ayudantes del templo, y el resto del pueblo volvieron a sus respectivos pueblos y ciudades. Para el mes séptimo ya los israelitas estaban ubicados en sus ciudades.
73 Y habitaron los sacerdotes y los Levitas, y los porteros, y los cantores, y los del pueblo, y los Nethineos, y todo Israel, en sus ciudades. Y venido el mes séptimo, los hijos de Israel estaban en sus ciudades.
73 So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel lived in their cities. When the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their cities.
