Forgiveness

Day 2 · Forgiveness

Naming the Hurt Honestly

“Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.”Psalm 62:8

Reflection

Forgiveness does not ask us to pretend we were never wounded. God invites us to bring the real ache to him, to name it plainly and pour it out without fear of being scolded. Honesty is not the opposite of faith; it is often the place where healing quietly begins.

A prayer

Lord, you already know the hurt I carry, so I will stop hiding it from you. Today I bring it into the light and lay it honestly before you. Be my refuge as I remember what was hard, and hold me steady so the memory does not overwhelm me. Thank you that I can be completely truthful with you and still be safe. Amen.

Carry this with you

What hurt have you been carrying that you have not yet named honestly before God?
