LXXUP Updated Brenton English Septuagint WEB World English Bible (Classic, with Deuterocanon) 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 1 Y HABLÓ Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2 Speak to the congregation of the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Ye shall be holy; for I the Lord your God [am] holy.
2 “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘You shall be holy; for I, Yahweh your God, am holy.
3 Let every one of you reverence his father and his mother; and ye shall keep my Sabbaths: I [am] the Lord your God. 3 Cada uno temerá á su madre y á su padre, y mis sábados guardaréis: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
3 “‘Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Sabbaths. I am Yahweh your God.
4 Ye shall not follow idols, and ye shall not make to yourselves molten gods: I [am] the Lord your God. 4 No os volveréis á los ídolos, ni haréis para vosotros dioses de fundición: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
4 “‘Don’t turn to idols, nor make molten gods for yourselves. I am Yahweh your God.
5 And if ye will sacrifice a peace offering to the Lord, ye shall offer it acceptable from yourselves.
5 “‘When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.
6 In what day soever ye shall sacrifice it, it shall be eaten; and on the following day, and if any of it should be left till the third day, it shall be thoroughly burned with fire.
6 It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day. If anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned with fire.
7 And if it should be at all eaten on the third day, it is unfit for sacrifice: it shall not be accepted.
7 If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted;
8 And he that eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy things of the Lord; and the souls that eat it shall be destroyed from among their people.
8 but everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of Yahweh, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.
9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, ye shall not complete the reaping of your field with exactness, and thou shalt not gather that which falls from thy reaping.
9 “‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10 And thou shalt not go over the gathering of thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather the remaining grapes of thy vineyard: thou shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger: I am the Lord your God. 10 Y no rebuscarás tu viña, ni recogerás los granos caídos de tu viña; para el pobre y para el extranjero los dejarás: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
10 You shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Yahweh your God.
11 Ye shall not steal, ye shall not lie, neither shall one bear false witness as an informer against his neighbor.
11 “‘You shall not steal. “‘You shall not lie. “‘You shall not deceive one another.
12 And ye shall not swear unjustly by my name, and ye shall not profane the holy name of your God: I am the Lord your God. 12 Y no juraréis en mi nombre con mentira, ni profanarás el nombre de tu Dios: Yo Jehová.
12 “‘You shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of your God. I am Yahweh.
13 Thou shalt not injure thy neighbor, neither do thou rob [him], neither shall the wages of thy hireling remain with thee until the morning.
13 “‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. “‘The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.
14 Thou shalt not revile the deaf, neither shalt thou put a stumbling block in the way of the blind; and thou shalt fear the Lord thy God: I am the Lord your God. 14 No maldigas al sordo, y delante del ciego no pongas tropiezo, mas tendrás temor de tu Dios: Yo Jehová.
14 “‘You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind; but you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.
15 Thou shalt not act unjustly in judgment: thou shalt not accept the person of the poor, nor admire the person of the mighty; with justice shalt thou judge thy neighbor.
15 “‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness.
16 Thou shalt not walk deceitfully among thy people; thou shalt not rise up against the blood of thy neighbor: I am the Lord your God. 16 No andarás chismeando en tus pueblos.
16 “‘You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people. “‘You shall not endanger the life of your neighbor. I am Yahweh.
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: thou shalt in anywise rebuke thy neighbor, so thou shalt not bear sin on his account.
17 “‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.
18 And thy hand shall not avenge thee; and thou shalt not be angry with the children of thy people; and thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself; I am the Lord.
18 “‘You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh.
19 Ye shall observe my law: thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with one of a different kind, and thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with diverse seed; and thou shalt not put upon thyself a mingled garment woven of two [materials]. 19 Mis estatutos guardaréis.
19 “‘You shall keep my statutes. “‘You shall not cross-breed different kinds of animals. “‘You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; “‘Don’t wear a garment made of two kinds of material.
20 And if anyone lie carnally with a woman, and she should be a home servant kept for a man, and she has not been ransomed, [and] her freedom has not been given to her, they shall be visited [with punishment]; but they shall not die, because she was not set at liberty.
20 “‘If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
21 And he shall bring for his trespass to the Lord to the door of the tabernacle of witness, a ram for a trespass offering.
21 He shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a trespass offering.
22 And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, before the Lord, for the sin which he sinned; and the sin which he sinned shall be forgiven him.
22 The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before Yahweh for his sin which he has committed; and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.
23 And whenever ye shall enter into the land which the Lord your God gives you, and shall plant any fruit tree, then shall ye purge away its uncleanness; its fruit shall be three years uncleansed to you, it shall not be eaten.
23 “‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. For three years it shall be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.
24 And in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a subject of praise to the Lord.
24 But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to Yahweh.
25 And in the fifth year ye shall eat the fruit, its produce is an increase to you. I am the Lord your God. 25 Mas al quinto año comeréis el fruto de él, para que os haga crecer su fruto: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
25 In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am Yahweh your God.
26 Eat not on the mountains, nor shall ye employ auguries, nor divine by inspection of birds. 26 No comeréis cosa alguna con sangre. No seréis agoreros, ni adivinaréis.
26 “‘You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it. You shall not use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.
27 Ye shall not make a round cutting of the hair of your head, nor disfigure your beard.
27 “‘You shall not cut the hair on the sides of your head or clip off the edge of your beard.
28 And ye shall not make cuttings in your body for a [dead] body, and ye shall not inscribe on yourselves any marks. I am the Lord your God. 28 Y no haréis rasguños en vuestra carne por un muerto, ni imprimiréis en vosotros señal alguna: Yo Jehová.
28 “‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Yahweh.
29 Thou shalt not profane thy daughter to prostitute her; so the land shall not go a-whoring, and the land be filled with iniquity.
29 “‘Don’t profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.
30 Ye shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuaries: I am the Lord.
30 “‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am Yahweh.
31 Ye shall not attend to those who have in them divining spirits, nor attach yourselves to enchanters, to pollute yourselves with them: I am the Lord your God. 31 No os volváis á los encantadores y á los adivinos: no los consultéis ensuciándoos con ellos: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
31 “‘Don’t turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God.
32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and shalt fear thy God: I am the Lord your God. 32 Delante de las canas te levantarás, y honrarás el rostro del anciano, y de tu Dios tendrás temor: Yo Jehová.
32 “‘You shall rise up before the gray head and honor the face of the elderly; and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.
33 And if there should come to you a stranger in your land, ye shall not afflict him.
33 “‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.
34 The stranger that comes to you shall be among you as the native, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. 34 Como á un natural de vosotros tendréis al extranjero que peregrinare entre vosotros; y ámalo como á ti mismo; porque peregrinos fuisteis en la tierra de Egipto: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
34 The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.
35 Ye shall not act unrighteously in judgment, in measures and weights and scales.
35 “‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.
36 There shall be among you just balances and just weights and a just liquid measure. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
36 You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin. I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
37 And ye shall keep all my law and all my ordinances, and ye shall do them: I am the Lord your God. 37 Guardad pues todos mis estatutos, y todos mis derechos, y ponedlos por obra: Yo Jehová.
37 “‘You shall observe all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them. I am Yahweh.’”
