1 ¡Oh Israel, regresa a Yavé tu ʼElohim, pues caíste a causa de tu iniquidad!
1 CONVIÉRTETE, oh Israel, á Jehová tu Dios: porque por tu pecado has caído.
1 Israel, return to Yahweh your God; for you have fallen because of your sin.
2 Tomen palabras y regresen a Yavé. Díganle: Quita toda iniquidad, acéptanos con benevolencia. Te ofreceremos el fruto de nuestros labios.
2 Tomad con vosotros palabras, y convertíos á Jehová, y decidle: Quita toda iniquidad, y acepta el bien, y daremos becerros de nuestros labios.
2 Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him, “Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good; so we offer bulls as we vowed of our lips.
3 Asiria no nos salvará. No montaremos en caballos, ni diremos nunca más a la obra de nuestras manos: ustedes son nuestro ʼElohim. Porque en ti el huérfano halla misericordia.
3 No nos librará Assur; no subiremos sobre caballos, ni nunca más diremos á la obra de nuestras manos: Dioses nuestros: porque en ti el huérfano alcanzará misericordia.
3 Assyria can’t save us. We won’t ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our gods!’ for in you the fatherless finds mercy.”
4 Sanaré su apostasía. Los amaré por gracia, porque mi ira se apartó de ellos.
4 Yo medicinaré su rebelión, amarélos de voluntad: porque mi furor se apartó de ellos.
4 “I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from them.
5 Seré para Israel como el rocío. Florecerá como el lirio y extenderá sus raíces como el Líbano.
5 Yo seré á Israel como rocío; él florecerá como lirio, y extenderá sus raíces como el Líbano.
5 I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily, and send down his roots like Lebanon.
6 Se extenderán sus ramas. Su esplendor será como el del olivo, y exhalará su fragancia como el Líbano.
6 Extenderse han sus ramos, y será su gloria como la de la oliva, y olerá como el Líbano.
6 His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon.
7 Regresarán y se sentarán bajo su sombra. Serán revividos como el grano y crecerán como una vid. Su aroma será como la del vino del Líbano.
7 Volverán, y se sentarán bajo de su sombra: serán vivificados [como] trigo, y florecerán como la vid: su olor, como de vino del Líbano.
7 Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon.
8 Efraín dirá: ¿Qué más tengo yo que hacer con ídolos? Yo responderé y velaré por ti. Soy como un exuberante ciprés. De mí viene tu fruto.
8 Ephraim [dirá]: ¿Qué más tendré ya con los ídolos? Yo lo oiré, y miraré; yo [seré á él] como la haya verde: de mí será hallado tu fruto.
8 Ephraim, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green cypress tree; from me your fruit is found.”
9 El que es sabio, que entienda estas cosas. El que sea prudente que las sepa. Porque los caminos de Yavé son rectos, el justo andará en ellos, pero los transgresores tropezarán en ellos.
9 ¿Quién es sabio para que entienda esto, y prudente para que lo sepa? Porque los caminos de Jehová son derechos, y los justos andarán por ellos: mas los rebeldes en ellos caerán.
9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Yahweh are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.
