PT1904 Patriarchal Text 1904 (accented, eBible edition)
5 Aun estando nosotros muertos en pecados, nos dió vida juntamente con Cristo; por gracia sois salvos;
11 Por tanto, acordaos que en otro tiempo vosotros los Gentiles en la carne, que erais llamados incircuncisión por la que se llama circuncisión, hecha con mano en la carne;
14 Porque él es nuestra paz, que de ambos hizo uno, derribando la pared intermedia de separación;
19 Así que ya no sois extranjeros ni advenedizos, sino juntamente ciudadanos con los santos, y domésticos de Dios;
20 Edificados sobre el fundamento de los apóstoles y profetas, siendo la principal piedra del ángulo Jesucristo mismo;

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations).

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
