1 Походите по улицам Иерусалима, и посмотрите, и разведайте, и поищите на площадях его, не найдете ли человека, нет ли соблюдающего правду, ищущего истины? Я пощадил бы Иерусалим.
1 DISCURRID por las plazas de Jerusalem, y mirad ahora, y sabed, y buscad en sus plazas si halláis hombre, si hay alguno que haga juicio, que busque verdad; y yo la perdonaré.
1 “Run back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in its wide places, if you can find a man, if there is anyone who does justly, who seeks truth, then I will pardon her.
2 Хотя и говорят они: "жив Господь!", но клянутся ложно.
2 Y si dijeren: Vive Jehová; por tanto jurarán mentira.
2 Though they say, ‘As Yahweh lives,’ surely they swear falsely.”
3 О, Господи! очи Твои не к истине ли обращены? Ты поражаешь их, а они не чувствуют боли; Ты истребляешь их, а они не хотят принять вразумления; лица свои сделали они крепче камня, не хотят обратиться.
3 Oh Jehová, ¿no miran tus ojos á la verdad? Azotástelos, y no les dolió; consumístelos, y no quisieron recibir corrección; endurecieron sus rostros más que la piedra, no quisieron tornarse.
3 O Yahweh, don’t your eyes look on truth? You have stricken them, but they were not grieved. You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock. They have refused to return.
4 И сказал я сам в себе: это, может быть, бедняки; они глупы, потому что не знают пути Господня, закона Бога своего;
4 Yo empero dije: Por cierto ellos son pobres, enloquecido han, pues no conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios.
4 Then I said, “Surely these are poor. They are foolish; for they don’t know Yahweh’s way, nor the law of their God.
5 пойду я к знатным и поговорю с ними, ибо они знают путь Господень, закон Бога своего. Но и они все сокрушили ярмо, расторгли узы.
5 Irme he á los grandes, y hablaréles; porque ellos conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios. Ciertamente ellos también quebraron el yugo, rompieron las coyundas.
5 I will go to the great men and will speak to them, for they know the way of Yahweh, and the law of their God.” But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.
6 За то поразит их лев из леса, волк пустынный опустошит их, барс будет подстерегать у городов их: кто выйдет из них, будет растерзан; ибо умножились преступления их, усилились отступничества их.
6 Por tanto, león del monte los herirá, destruirálos lobo del desierto, tigre acechará sobre sus ciudades; cualquiera que de ellas saliere, será arrebatado: porque sus rebeliones se han multiplicado, hanse aumentado sus deslealtades.
6 Therefore a lion out of the forest will kill them. A wolf of the evenings will destroy them. A leopard will watch against their cities. Everyone who goes out there will be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many and their backsliding has increased.
7 Как же Мне простить тебя за это? Сыновья твои оставили Меня и клянутся теми, которые не боги. Я насыщал их, а они прелюбодействовали и толпами ходили в домы блудниц.
7 ¿Cómo te he de perdonar por esto? Sus hijos me dejaron, y juraron por lo que no es Dios. Saciélos, y adulteraron, y en casa de ramera se juntaron en compañías.
7 “How can I pardon you? Your children have forsaken me, and sworn by what are no gods. When I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery, and assembled themselves in troops at the prostitutes’ houses.
8 Это откормленные кони: каждый из них ржет на жену другого.
8 Como caballos bien hartos fueron á la mañana, cada cual relinchaba á la mujer de su prójimo.
8 They were as fed horses roaming at large. Everyone neighed after his neighbor’s wife.
9 Неужели Я не накажу за это? говорит Господь; и не отмстит ли душа Моя такому народу, как этот?
9 ¿No había de hacer visitación sobre esto? dijo Jehová. De una gente como ésta ¿no se había de vengar mi alma?
9 Shouldn’t I punish them for these things?” says Yahweh. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
10 Восходите на стены его и разрушайте, но не до конца; уничтожьте зубцы их, потому что они не Господни;
10 Escalad sus muros, y destruid; mas no hagáis consumación: quitad las almenas de sus muros, porque no son de Jehová.
10 “Go up on her walls, and destroy, but don’t make a full end. Take away her branches, for they are not Yahweh’s.
11 ибо дом Израилев и дом Иудин поступили со Мною очень вероломно, говорит Господь:
11 Porque resueltamente se rebelaron contra mí la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá, dice Jehová.
11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me,” says Yahweh.
12 они солгали на Господа и сказали: "нет Его, и беда не придет на нас, и мы не увидим ни меча, ни голода.
12 Negaron á Jehová, y dijeron: El no es, y no vendrá mal sobre nosotros, ni veremos cuchillo ni hambre;
12 They have denied Yahweh, and said, “It is not he. Evil won’t come on us. We won’t see sword or famine.
13 И пророки станут ветром, и слова [Господня] нет в них; над ними самими пусть это будет".
13 Antes los profetas serán como viento, y no hay en ellos palabra; así se hará á ellos.
13 The prophets will become wind, and the word is not in them. Thus it will be done to them.”
14 Посему так говорит Господь Бог Саваоф: за то, что вы говорите такие слова, вот, Я сделаю слова Мои в устах твоих огнем, а этот народ - дровами, и этот огонь пожрет их.
14 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos: Porque hablasteis esta palabra, he aquí yo pongo en tu boca mis palabras por fuego, y á este pueblo por leños, y los consumirá.
14 Therefore Yahweh, the God of Armies says, “Because you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it will devour them.
15 Вот, Я приведу на вас, дом Израилев, народ издалека, говорит Господь, народ сильный, народ древний, народ, которого языка ты не знаешь, и не будешь понимать, что он говорит.
15 He aquí yo traigo sobre vosotros gente de lejos, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová; gente robusta, gente antigua, gente cuya lengua ignorarás, y no entenderás lo que hablare.
15 Behold, I will bring a nation on you from far away, house of Israel,” says Yahweh. “It is a mighty nation. It is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you don’t know and don’t understand what they say.
16 Колчан его - как открытый гроб; все они люди храбрые.
16 Su aljaba como sepulcro abierto, todos valientes.
16 Their quiver is an open tomb. They are all mighty men.
17 И съедят они жатву твою и хлеб твой, съедят сыновей твоих и дочерей твоих, съедят овец твоих и волов твоих, съедят виноград твой и смоквы твои; разрушат мечом укрепленные города твои, на которые ты надеешься.
17 Y comerá tu mies y tu pan, [que] habían de comer tus hijos y tus hijas; comerá tus ovejas y tus vacas, comerá tus viñas y tus higueras; y tus ciudades fuertes en que tú confías, tornará en nada á cuchillo.
17 They will eat up your harvest and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat. They will eat up your flocks and your herds. They will eat up your vines and your fig trees. They will beat down your fortified cities in which you trust with the sword.
18 Но и в те дни, говорит Господь, не истреблю вас до конца.
18 Empero en aquellos días, dice Jehová, no os acabaré del todo.
18 “But even in those days,” says Yahweh, “I will not make a full end of you.
19 И если вы скажете: "за что Господь, Бог наш, делает нам все это?", то отвечай: так как вы оставили Меня и служили чужим богам в земле своей, то будете служить чужим в земле не вашей.
19 Y será que cuando dijereis: ¿Por qué hizo Jehová el Dios nuestro con nosotros todas estas cosas? entonces les dirás: De la manera que me dejasteis á mí, y servisteis á dioses ajenos en vuestra tierra, así serviréis á extraños en tierra ajena.
19 It will happen when you say, ‘Why has Yahweh our God done all these things to us?’ Then you shall say to them, ‘Just as you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’
20 Объявите это в доме Иакова и возвестите в Иудее, говоря:
20 Denunciad esto en la casa de Jacob, y haced que esto se oiga en Judá, diciendo:
20 “Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,
21 выслушай это, народ глупый и неразумный, у которого есть глаза, а не видит, у которого есть уши, а не слышит:
21 Oid ahora esto, pueblo necio y sin corazón, que tienen ojos y no ven, que tienen oídos y no oyen:
21 ‘Hear this now, foolish people without understanding, who have eyes, and don’t see, who have ears, and don’t hear:
22 Меня ли вы не боитесь, говорит Господь, предо Мною ли не трепещете? Я положил песок границею морю, вечным пределом, которого не перейдет; и хотя волны его устремляются, но превозмочь не могут; хотя они бушуют, но переступить его не могут.
22 ¿A mí no temeréis? dice Jehová; ¿no os amedrentaréis á mi presencia, que al mar por ordenación eterna, la cual no quebrantará, puse arena por término? Se levantarán tempestades, mas no prevalecerán; bramarán sus ondas, mas no lo pasarán.
22 Don’t you fear me?’ says Yahweh; ‘Won’t you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it can’t pass it? Though its waves toss themselves, yet they can’t prevail. Though they roar, they still can’t pass over it.’
23 А у народа сего сердце буйное и мятежное; они отступили и пошли;
23 Empero este pueblo tiene corazón falso y rebelde; tornáronse y fuéronse.
23 “But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart. They have revolted and gone.
24 и не сказали в сердце своем: "убоимся Господа Бога нашего, Который дает нам дождь ранний и поздний в свое время, хранит для нас седмицы, назначенные для жатвы".
24 Y no dijeron en su corazón: Temamos ahora á Jehová Dios nuestro, que da lluvia temprana y tardía en su tiempo; los tiempos establecidos de la siega nos guarda.
24 They don’t say in their heart, ‘Let’s now fear Yahweh our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season, who preserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.’
25 Беззакония ваши отвратили это, и грехи ваши удалили от вас это доброе.
25 Vuestras iniquidades han estorbado estas cosas; y vuestros pecados apartaron de vosotros el bien.
25 “Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good from you.
26 Ибо между народом Моим находятся нечестивые: сторожат, как птицеловы, припадают к земле, ставят ловушки и уловляют людей.
26 Porque fueron hallados en mi pueblo impíos; acechaban como quien pone lazos; pusieron trampa para tomar hombres.
26 For wicked men are found among my people. They watch, as fowlers lie in wait. They set a trap. They catch men.
27 Как клетка, наполненная птицами, домы их полны обмана; чрез это они и возвысились и разбогатели,
27 Como jaula llena de pájaros, así están sus casas llenas de engaño: así se hicieron grandes y ricos.
27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit. Therefore they have become great, and grew rich.
28 сделались тучны, жирны, переступили даже всякую меру во зле, не разбирают судебных дел, дел сирот; благоденствуют, и справедливому делу нищих не дают суда.
28 Engordaron y pusiéronse lustrosos, y sobrepujaron los hechos del malo: no juzgaron la causa, la causa del huérfano; con todo hiciéronse prósperos, y la causa de los pobres no juzgaron.
28 They have grown fat. They shine; yes, they excel in deeds of wickedness. They don’t plead the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may prosper; and they don’t defend the rights of the needy.
29 Неужели Я не накажу за это? говорит Господь; и не отмстит ли душа Моя такому народу, как этот?
29 ¿No tengo de visitar sobre esto? dice Jehová; ¿y de tal gente no se vengará mi alma?
29 “Shouldn’t I punish for these things?” says Yahweh. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
30 Изумительное и ужасное совершается в сей земле:
30 Cosa espantosa y fea es hecha en la tierra:
30 “An astonishing and horrible thing has happened in the land.
31 пророки пророчествуют ложь, и священники господствуют при посредстве их, и народ Мой любит это. Что же вы будете делать после всего этого?
31 Los profetas profetizaron mentira, y los sacerdotes dirigían por manos de ellos; y mi pueblo así lo quiso. ¿Qué pues haréis á su fin?
31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will you do in the end of it?

How these were chosen
“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
