1 Después de la plaga, el Señor dijo a Moisés y a Eleazar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón:

1 Y ACONTECIÓ después de la mortandad, que Jehová habló á Moisés, y á Eleazar hijo del sacerdote Aarón, diciendo:

1 After the plague, Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,

2 «Hagan un censo de toda la comunidad de Israel, por las casas de sus padres. Cuenten a todos los hombres de veinte años o más que puedan servir en el ejército de Israel».

2 Tomad la suma de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, de veinte años arriba, por las casas de sus padres, todos los que puedan salir á la guerra en Israel.

2 “Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers’ houses, all who are able to go out to war in Israel.”

3 Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar hablaron con el pueblo en las llanuras de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó. Dijeron:

3 Y Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote hablaron con ellos en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó, diciendo:

3 Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

4 «Cuenten a todos los hombres de veinte años o más, como el Señor ordenó a Moisés». Estos eran los israelitas que salieron de Egipto:

4 Contaréis el pueblo de veinte años arriba, como mandó Jehová á Moisés y á los hijos de Israel, que habían salido de tierra de Egipto.

4 “Take a census, from twenty years old and upward, as Yahweh commanded Moses and the children of Israel.” These are those who came out of the land of Egypt.

5 Rubén fue el primogénito de Israel. Los descendientes de Rubén fueron: de Hanoc, la familia de los hanoquitas; de Falú, la familia de los faluitas;

8 El hijo de Falú fue Eliab.

9 Los hijos de Eliab fueron Nemuel, Datán y Abiram. Datán y Abiram eran los mismos dirigentes de la comunidad que se rebelaron contra Moisés y Aarón junto con los seguidores de Coré, cuando se rebelaron contra el Señor.

9 Y los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, y Dathán, y Abiram. Estos Dathán y Abiram fueron los del consejo de la congregación, que hicieron el motín contra Moisés y Aarón con la compañía de Coré, cuando se amotinaron contra Jehová;

9 The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram who were called by the congregation, who rebelled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah when they rebelled against Yahweh;

10 La tierra abrió su boca y se los tragó junto con Coré, cuando murieron sus seguidores y el fuego consumió a los doscientos cincuenta hombres. Así se convirtieron en una señal de advertencia.

10 Que la tierra abrió su boca y tragó á ellos y á Coré, cuando aquella compañía murió, cuando consumió el fuego doscientos y cincuenta varones, los cuales fueron por señal.

10 and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah when that company died; at the time the fire devoured two hundred fifty men, and they became a sign.

11 Pero los hijos de Coré no murieron.

11 Notwithstanding, the sons of Korah didn’t die.

53 «La tierra será repartida entre ellos como herencia de acuerdo con el número de personas.

53 A estos se repartirá la tierra en heredad, por la cuenta de los nombres.

53 “To these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.

54 A un grupo grande darás una herencia mayor, y a un grupo pequeño una herencia menor. Cada grupo recibirá su herencia según el número de hombres contados.

54 A los más darás mayor heredad, y á los menos menor; y á cada uno se le dará su heredad conforme á sus contados.

54 To the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance. To everyone according to those who were counted of him shall his inheritance be given.

55 Sin embargo, la tierra se repartirá por sorteo. Cada grupo recibirá su herencia según la tribu de sus padres.

55 Empero la tierra será repartida por suerte; y por los nombres de las tribus de sus padres heredarán.

55 Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

56 La herencia de cada grupo, grande o pequeño, será determinada por sorteo».

56 Conforme á la suerte será repartida su heredad entre el grande y el pequeño.

56 According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer.”

57 Estos fueron los levitas contados por sus familias: de Gersón, la familia de los gersonitas; de Coat, la familia de los coatitas; y de Merari, la familia de los meraritas.

57 Y los contados de los Levitas por sus familias son estos: de Gersón, la familia de los Gersonitas; de Coath, la familia de los Coathitas; de Merari, la familia de los Meraritas.

57 These are those who were counted of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

59 La esposa de Amram se llamaba Jocabed, hija de Leví, que nació en Egipto. Ella dio a Amram dos hijos, Aarón y Moisés, y una hija, Miriam.

59 Y la mujer de Amram se llamó Jochâbed, hija de Leví, la cual nació á Leví en Egipto: ésta parió de Amram á Aarón y á Moisés, y á María su hermana.

59 The name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. She bore to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.

60 Aarón fue padre de Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

60 Y á Aarón nacieron Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar é Ithamar.

60 To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

61 Pero Nadab y Abiú murieron cuando presentaron fuego extraño delante del Señor.

61 Mas Nadab y Abiú murieron, cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante de Jehová.

61 Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before Yahweh.

62 El total de los levitas varones de un mes o más fue de veintitrés mil. Ellos no fueron contados con los demás israelitas porque no recibieron una herencia de tierra entre ellos.

62 Y los contados de los Levitas fueron veinte y tres mil, todos varones de un mes arriba: porque no fueron contados entre los hijos de Israel, por cuanto no les había de ser dada heredad entre los hijos de Israel.

62 Those who were counted of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not counted among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

63 Estos fueron los que Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar contaron cuando hicieron el censo de los israelitas en las llanuras de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó.

65 Porque el Señor había dicho de ellos: «Morirán en el desierto». Ninguno de ellos quedó con vida, excepto Caleb hijo de Jefone y Josué hijo de Nun.

65 Porque Jehová les dijo: Han de morir en el desierto: y no quedó varón de ellos, sino Caleb hijo de Jephone, y Josué hijo de Nun.

65 For Yahweh had said of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” There was not a man left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
