1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
2 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lord; Woe, woe [worth] the day!
2 Hijo del hombre, profetiza, y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Aullad: ¡Ay del día!
3 For the day of the Lord is nigh, a day of cloud; it shall be the end of the nations.
3 Porque cerca está el día, cerca está el día del Señor; día de nublado, día de las gentes será.
4 And a sword shall come upon the Egyptians, and there shall be tumult in Ethiopia, and in Egypt [men] shall fall down slain together, and her foundations shall fall.
4 Y vendrá espada á Egipto, y habrá miedo en Etiopía, cuando caerán heridos en Egipto; y tomarán su multitud, y serán destruídos sus fundamentos.
5 Persians, and Cretans, and Lydians, and Libyans, and all the mixed multitude, and they of the children of my covenant, shall fall by the sword therein.
5 Etiopía, y Libia, y Lidia, y todo el conjunto de pueblo, y Chûb, y los hijos de la tierra de la liga, caerán con ellos á cuchillo.
6 And the supports of Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her strength shall come down from Migdol to Syene: they shall fall by the sword in it, saith the Lord.
6 Así ha dicho Jehová: También caerán los que sostienen á Egipto, y la altivez de su fortaleza caerá: desde Migdol hasta Seveneh caerán en él á cuchillo, dice el Señor Jehová.
7 And it shall be made desolate in the midst of desolate countries, and their cities shall be [desolate] in the midst of the desolate cities:
7 Y serán asolados entre las tierras asoladas, y sus ciudades serán entre las ciudades desiertas.
8 and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall send fire upon Egypt, and [when] all that help her shall be broken.
8 Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere fuego á Egipto, y fueren quebrantados todos sus ayudadores.
9 In that day shall messengers go forth hastening to destroy Ethiopia utterly, and there shall be tumult among them in the day of Egypt: for, behold, it comes.
9 En aquel tiempo saldrán mensajeros de delante de mí en navíos, á espantar á Etiopía la confiada, y tendrán espanto como en el día de Egipto: porque he aquí viene.
10 Thus saith the Lord God; I will also destroy the multitude of the Egyptians by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,
10 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Haré cesar la multitud de Egipto por mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.
11 his [hand] and his people’s; [they are] plagues sent forth from the nations to destroy the land: and they all shall unsheath their swords against Egypt, and the land shall be filled with slain.
11 El, y con él su pueblo, los más fuertes de las gentes, serán traídos á destruir la tierra: y desenvainarán sus espadas sobre Egipto, y henchirán la tierra de muertos.
12 And I will make their rivers desolate, and will destroy the land and the fullness of it by the hands of strangers: I the Lord have spoken.
12 Y secaré los ríos, y entregaré la tierra en manos de malos, y destruiré la tierra y su plenitud por mano de extranjeros: yo Jehová he hablado.
13 For thus saith the Lord God; I will also destroy the nobles from Memphis, and the princes of Memphis out of the land of Egypt; and they shall be no more.
13 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Destruiré también las imágenes, y haré cesar los ídolos de Memphis; y no habrá más príncipe de la tierra de Egipto, y en la tierra de Egipto pondré temor.
14 And I will destroy the land of Pathros, and will send fire upon Tanis, and will execute vengeance on Diospolis.
14 Y asolaré á Patros, y pondré fuego á Zoán, y haré juicios en No.
15 And I will pour out my wrath upon Sais the strength of Egypt, and will destroy the multitude of Memphis.
15 Y derramaré mi ira sobre Sin, fortaleza de Egipto, y talaré la multitud de No.
16 And I will send fire upon Egypt; and Syene shall be sorely troubled; and there shall be a breaking in Diospolis, and waters shall be poured out.
16 Y pondré fuego á Egipto; Sin tendrá gran dolor, y No será destrozada, y Memphis tendrá continuas angustias.
17 The youths of Heliopolis and Bubastum shall fall by the sword, and the women shall go into captivity.
17 Los mancebos de Avén y de Pibeseth caerán á cuchillo; y ellas irán en cautiverio.
18 And the day shall be darkened in Tehaphnehes, when I have broken there the scepters of Egypt: and the pride of her strength shall perish there: and a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall be taken prisoners.
18 Y en Tehaphnes será cerrado el día, cuando quebrantaré yo allí las barras de Egipto, y cesará en ella la soberbia de su fortaleza: nublado la cubrirá, y los moradores de sus aldeas irán en cautiverio.
19 And I will execute judgment on Egypt; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
19 Haré pues juicios en Egipto y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
20 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh [day] of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
20 Y aconteció en el año undécimo, en el [mes] primero, á los siete del mes, que fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
21 Son of man, I have broken the arms of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and, behold, it has not been bound up to be healed, to have a plaster put upon it, [or] to be strengthened to lay hold of the sword.
21 Hijo del hombre, quebrantado he el brazo de Faraón rey de Egipto; y he aquí que no ha sido vendado poniéndo[le] medicinas, poniéndole faja para ligarlo, á fin de vigorizarle para que pueda tener espada.
22 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and I will break his strong and outstretched arms, and will smite down his sword out of his hand.
22 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Heme aquí contra Faraón rey de Egipto, y quebraré sus brazos, el fuerte y el fracturado, y haré que la espada se le caiga de la mano.
23 And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations, and will utterly scatter them among the countries.
23 Y esparciré los Egipcios entre las gentes, y aventarélos por las tierras.
24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword into his hand: and he shall bring it upon Egypt, and shall take her plunder and seize her spoils.
24 Y fortificaré los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y pondré mi espada en su mano; mas quebraré los brazos de Faraón, y delante de aquél gemirá con gemidos de herido de muerte.
25 Yea, I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fail: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have put my sword into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out over the land of Egypt.
25 Fortificaré pues los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y los brazos de Faraón caerán; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando yo pusiere mi espada en la mano del rey de Babilonia, y él la extendiere sobre la tierra de Egipto.
26 And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations, and utterly scatter them among the countries; and they all shall know that I am the Lord.
26 Y esparciré los Egipcios entre las gentes, y los aventaré por las tierras; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
