110:3 Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.
4 The Lord swore, and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.
110:4 Juró Jehová, y no se arrepentirá: Tú eres sacerdote para siempre según el orden de Melchîsedech.
110:4 Yahweh has sworn, and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord at thy right hand has dashed in pieces kings in the day of his wrath.
110:5 El Señor á tu diestra herirá á los reyes en el día de su furor.
110:5 The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.
6 He shall judge among the nations, he shall fill up [the number of] corpses, He shall crush the heads of many on the earth.
110:6 Juzgará en las gentes, llenará[las] de cadáveres: herirá las cabezas en muchas tierras.
110:6 He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.
7 He shall drink of the brook in the way; Therefore shall he lift up the head.
110:7 Del arroyo beberá en el camino: por lo cual levantará cabeza.
110:7 He will drink of the brook on the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations). Verse numbers below follow the Hebrew/English numbering: 110.

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
