2 Y hallaron la piedra revuelta del sepulcro.
4 Y aconteció, que estando ellas espantadas de esto, he aquí se pararon junto á ellas dos varones con vestiduras resplandecientes;
5 Пристра̑шнымъ же бы́вшымъ и҆̀мъ и҆ покло́ньшымъ ли́ца на зе́млю, реко́ста къ ни̑мъ: что̀ и҆́щете жива́го съ ме́ртвыми;
8 Entonces ellas se acordaron de sus palabras,
17 Рече́ же къ ни́ма: что̀ сꙋ́ть словеса̀ сїѧ̑, ѡ҆ ни́хже стѧза́етасѧ къ себѣ̀ и҆дꙋ̑ща, и҆ є҆ста̀ дрѧ̑хла;
18 Ѿвѣща́въ же є҆ди́нъ, є҆мꙋ́же и҆́мѧ клео́па, речѐ къ немꙋ̀: ты́ ли є҆ди́нъ пришле́цъ є҆сѝ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ, и҆ не ᲂу҆вѣ́дѣлъ є҆сѝ бы́вшихъ въ не́мъ во дни̑ сїѧ̑;
19 Entonces él les dijo: ¿Qué cosas? Y ellos le dijeron: De Jesús Nazareno, el cual fué varón profeta, poderoso en obra y en palabra delante de Dios y de todo el pueblo;
26 не сїѧ̑ ли подоба́ше пострада́ти хрⷭ҇тꙋ̀ и҆ вни́ти въ сла́вꙋ свою̀;
32 И҆ реко́ста къ себѣ̀: не се́рдце ли на́ю горѧ̀ бѣ̀ въ на́ю, є҆гда̀ гл҃аше на́ма на пꙋтѝ и҆ є҆гда̀ ска́зоваше на́ма писа̑нїѧ;
38 и҆ речѐ и҆̀мъ: что̀ смꙋще́ни є҆стѐ; и҆ почто̀ помышлє́нїѧ вхо́дѧтъ въ сердца̀ ва̑ша;
38 Mas él les dice: ¿Por qué estáis turbados, y suben pensamientos á vuestros corazones?
41 Є҆ще́ же невѣ́рꙋющымъ и҆̀мъ ѿ ра́дости и҆ чꙋдѧ́щымсѧ, речѐ и҆̀мъ: и҆́мате ли что̀ снѣ́дно здѣ̀;
45 Entonces les abrió el sentido, para que entendiesen las Escrituras;
46 Y díjoles: Así está escrito, y así fué necesario que el Cristo padeciese, y resucitase de los muertos al tercer día;
48 Y vosotros sois testigos de estas cosas.
52 Y ellos, después de haberle adorado, se volvieron á Jerusalem con gran gozo;

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations).

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
