WEB World English Bible (Classic, with Deuterocanon) 1 And he looked up and saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury; 1 Y MIRANDO, vió á los ricos que echaban sus ofrendas en el gazofilacio.
1 He looked up and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury.
2 but he saw also a certain poor widow casting therein two mites.
2 He saw a certain poor widow casting in two small brass coins.
3 And he said, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow has cast in more than all; 3 Y dijo: De verdad os digo, que esta pobre viuda echó más que todos:
3 He said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them,
4 for all these out of their abundance have cast into the gifts [of God]; but she out of her need has cast in all the living which she had.
4 for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on.”
5 And as some spoke of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and consecrated offerings, he said, 5 Y á unos que decían del templo, que estaba adornado de hermosas piedras y dones, dijo:
5 As some were talking about the temple and how it was decorated with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,
6 [As to] these things which ye are beholding, days are coming in which there shall not be left stone upon stone which shall not be thrown down.
6 “As for these things which you see, the days will come in which there will not be left here one stone on another that will not be thrown down.”
7 And they asked him saying, Teacher, when then shall these things be; and what [is] the sign when these things are going to take place?
7 They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”
8 And he said, See that ye be not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [he], and the time is drawn nigh: go ye not [therefore] after them.
8 He said, “Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.
9 And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end is not immediately.
9 When you hear of wars and disturbances, don’t be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won’t come immediately.”
10 Then he said to them, Nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; 10 Entonces les dijo: Se levantará gente contra gente, y reino contra reino;
10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
11 there shall be both great earthquakes in different places, and famines and pestilences; and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
11 There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
12 But before all these things they shall lay their hands upon you and persecute you, delivering [you] up to synagogues and prisons, bringing [you] before kings and governors on account of my name; 12 Mas antes de todas estas cosas os echarán mano, y perseguirán, entregándoos á las sinagogas y á las cárceles, siendo llevados á los reyes y á los gobernadores por causa de mi nombre.
12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.
13 but it shall turn out to you for a testimony. 13 Y os será para testimonio.
13 It will turn out as a testimony for you.
14 Settle therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand [your] defence, 14 Poned pues en vuestros corazones no pensar antes cómo habéis de responder:
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,
15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your opposers shall not be able to reply to or resist.
15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.
16 But ye will be delivered up even by parents and brethren and relations and friends, and they shall put to death [some] from among you, 16 Mas seréis entregados aun de vuestros padres, y hermanos, y parientes, y amigos; y matarán [á algunos] de vosotros.
16 You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death.
17 and ye will be hated of all for my name's sake.
17 You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake.
18 And a hair of your head shall in no wise perish.
18 And not a hair of your head will perish.
19 By your patient endurance gain your souls. 19 En vuestra paciencia poseeréis vuestras almas.
19 “By your endurance you will win your lives.
20 But when ye see Jerusalem encompassed with armies, then know that its desolation is drawn nigh.
20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is at hand.
21 Then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains, and those who are in the midst of it depart out, and those who are in the country not enter into it; 21 Entonces los que estuvieren en Judea, huyan á los montes; y los que en medio de ella, váyanse; y los que estén en los campos, no entren en ella.
21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the middle of her depart. Let those who are in the country not enter therein.
22 for these are days of avenging, that all the things that are written may be accomplished.
22 For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 But woe to them that are with child and to them who give suck in those days, for there shall be great distress upon the land and wrath upon this people.
23 Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath to this people.
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of [the] nations until [the] times of [the] nations be fulfilled.
24 They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25 And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity [at] the roar of the sea and rolling waves, 25 Entonces habrá señales en el sol, y en la luna, y en las estrellas; y en la tierra angustia de gentes por la confusión del sonido de la mar y de las ondas:
25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves;
26 men ready to die through fear and expectation of what is coming on the habitable earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
26 men fainting for fear and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 But when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws nigh.
28 But when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.”
29 And he spoke a parable to them: Behold the fig-tree and all the trees; 29 Y díjoles una parábola: Mirad la higuera y todos los árboles:
29 He told them a parable. “See the fig tree and all the trees.
30 when they already sprout, ye know of your own selves, [on] looking [at them], that already the summer is near.
30 When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.
31 So also ye, when ye see these things take place, know that the kingdom of God is near.
31 Even so you also, when you see these things happening, know that God’s Kingdom is near.
32 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall in no wise pass away until all come to pass.
32 Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.
33 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.
33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.
34 But take heed to yourselves lest possibly your hearts be laden with surfeiting and drinking and cares of life, and that day come upon you suddenly unawares; 34 Y mirad por vosotros, que vuestros corazones no sean cargados de glotonería y embriaguez, y de los cuidados de esta vida, y venga de repente sobre vosotros aquel día.
34 “So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.
35 for as a snare shall it come upon all them that dwell upon the face of the whole earth.
35 For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.
36 Watch therefore, praying at every season, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things which are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
36 Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
37 And by day he was teaching in the temple, and by night, going out, he remained abroad on the mountain called [the mount] of Olives; 37 Y enseñaba de día en el templo; y de noche saliendo, estábase en el monte que se llama de las Olivas.
37 Every day Jesus was teaching in the temple, and every night he would go out and spend the night on the mountain that is called Olivet.
38 and all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
38 All the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
