WEB World English Bible (Classic, with Deuterocanon) 1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, he withdrew from Galilee, and came to the coasts of Judaea beyond the Jordan; 1 Y ACONTECIÓ que acabando Jesús estas palabras, se pasó de Galilea, y vino á los términos de Judea, pasado el Jordán.
1 When Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 and great crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
2 Great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there.
3 And the Pharisees came to him tempting him, and saying, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
3 Pharisees came to him, testing him and saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
4 But he answering said [to them], Have ye not read that he who made [them], from the beginning made them male and female, 4 Y él respondiendo, les dijo: ¿No habéis leído que el que [los] hizo al principio, macho y hembra los hizo,
4 He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,
5 and said, On account of this a man shall leave father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh?
5 and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’?
6 so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.
6 So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
7 They say to him, Why then did Moses command to give a letter of divorce and to send [her] away?
7 They asked him, “Why then did Moses command us to give her a certificate of divorce and divorce her?”
8 He says to them, Moses, in view of your hardheartedness, allowed you to put away your wives; but from the beginning it was not thus.
8 He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
9 But I say unto you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, not for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery; and he who marries one put away commits adultery.
9 I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.”
10 His disciples say to him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
10 His disciples said to him, “If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.”
11 And he said to them, All cannot receive this word, but those to whom it has been given; 11 Entonces él les dijo: No todos reciben esta palabra, sino aquellos á quienes es dado.
11 But he said to them, “Not all men can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given.
12 for there are eunuchs which have been born thus from [their] mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs of men; and there are eunuchs who have made eunuchs of themselves for the sake of the kingdom of the heavens. He that is able to receive [it], let him receive [it]. 12 Porque hay eunucos que nacieron así del vientre de su madre; y hay eunucos, que son hechos eunucos por los hombres; y hay eunucos que se hicieron á sí mismos eunucos por causa del reino de los cielos; el que pueda ser capaz de eso, séalo.
12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven’s sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it.”
13 Then there were brought to him little children that he might lay his hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them.
13 Then little children were brought to him that he should lay his hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and do not hinder them from coming to me; for the kingdom of the heavens is of such: 14 Y Jesús dijo: Dejad á los niños, y no les impidáis de venir á mí; porque de los tales es el reino de los cielos.
14 But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
15 and having laid his hands upon them, he departed thence.
15 He laid his hands on them, and departed from there.
16 And lo, one coming up said to him, Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have life eternal?
16 Behold, one came to him and said, “Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?”
17 And he said to him, What askest thou me concerning goodness? one is good. But if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments.
17 He said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18 He says to him, Which? And Jesus said, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 18 Dícele: ¿Cuáles? Y Jesús dijo: No matarás: No adulterarás: No hurtarás: No dirás falso testimonio:
18 He said to him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’
19 Honour thy father and thy mother, and Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 19 Honra á tu padre y á tu madre: y, Amarás á tu prójimo como á ti mismo.
19 ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20 The young man says to him, All these have I kept; what lack I yet?
20 The young man said to him, “All these things I have observed from my youth. What do I still lack?”
21 Jesus said to him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell what thou hast and give to [the] poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me. 21 Dícele Jesús: Si quieres ser perfecto, anda, vende lo que tienes, y da[lo] á los pobres, y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y ven, sígueme.
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
22 But the young man, having heard the word, went away grieved, for he had large possessions.
22 But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he was one who had great possessions.
23 And Jesus said to his disciples, Verily I say unto you, A rich man shall with difficulty enter into the kingdom of the heavens; 23 Entonces Jesús dijo á sus discípulos: De cierto os digo, que un rico difícilmente entrará en el reino de los cielos.
23 Jesus said to his disciples, “Most certainly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty.
24 and again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to enter a needle's eye than a rich man into the kingdom of God. 24 Mas os digo, que más liviano trabajo es pasar un camello por el ojo de una aguja, que entrar un rico en el reino de Dios.
24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
25 And when the disciples heard [it] they were exceedingly astonished, saying, Who then can be saved?
25 When the disciples heard it, they were exceedingly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”
26 But Jesus, looking on [them], said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
26 Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 Then Peter answering said to him, Behold, we have left all things and have followed thee; what then shall happen to us? 27 Entonces respondiendo Pedro, le dijo: He aquí, nosotros hemos dejado todo, y te hemos seguido: ¿qué pues tendremos?
27 Then Peter answered, “Behold, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?”
28 And Jesus said to them, Verily I say unto you, That ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit down upon his throne of glory, ye also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
28 Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And every one who has left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit life eternal.
29 Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life.
30 But many first shall be last, and last first. 30 Mas muchos primeros serán postreros, y postreros primeros.
30 But many will be last who are first, and first who are last.
